Join Craig and Gayton, every Monday from 2 ’til 4, as they emerge from under their collective shell to offer a fairly relaxed approach to musical selections, including pop, rock, folk, blues, jazz and psychedelic sounds.
The songs are mostly from the twentieth century and mostly album tracks; some of which you probably wouldn’t hear on more commercial radio stations in the daytime.
As well as a healthy diet of diverse musical selections, a couple of their current features include:
+ “Gayton’s Nature Notes,” in which Gay talks about topics from the natural world, or ecological issues, while Craig noodles on the guitar, trying to find appropriate background music. Gay’s nature information is also interspersed with songs that are relevant to her chosen topic.
+ Craig’s “Looking Back at the Track” where he compares recent and original versions of the same song.
Other occasional features are suggested by current events, or particular whims.
It is mostly about the music choices – some you’ll just want to listen to, while others may make you feel like dancing. Some will be familiar; others more obscure… all will be revealed when you log on, tune in and drop out with “Don’t Kick the Tortoise”. It seems like one of the best ways to pass a Monday afternoon.
